After a decade of continuous operation using Hitachi Nico Marine Transmission, Marine Vessel NACC Vega of Orophil Shipmanagement Corp. has undergone its first gearbox overhauling to maintain its performance.
Gearbox overhauling is done by thoroughly inspecting and replacing various moving parts. An overhauling is essential to reduce risk of failure and prevent direct and indirect costs such as repairs and penalties.
